By JC Kiadii, Internet Marketing for Mortgage Professionals
I’m always amazed by people who say they are stumped for blog post ideas. I find them everywhere!
During a recent blogging workshop for a group of mortgage professionals and real estate investors, for example, I rattled off 7 ideas for mortgage blog topics – just based on the questions and discussion during the Q&A.
In this post, I am going to encourage you to explore an often neglected source for fantastic blog topic ideas – your comments section!!
Thar’s gold in them thar comments, I tell ya!
Here are a couple of places to find and mine the gold in your comments:
- Questions – San Diego Real Estate & Homes for Sale :: Robert T. Boyer, Ph.D. asked a really good question on one of my recent blog posts, so I am going to answer that question by writing an article.
- Controversy – Did someone disagree with you, or not understand the purpose or content of your blog article? Write about it! A colleague recently had someone write an unnecessarily argumentative (in my opinion) comment on her blog post. She wrote a post to address his comments.
- Your comment on someone else’s blog post – There are many time when I am inspired by another writer’s blog post. When this happens to you, by all means comment on their blog. While you are doing that, however, consider fleshing out your thoughts into a blog post. (Thanks to Cameron Novak, Featured California Short Sale Agent for inspiring this third tip).
Start searching – how many blog post ideas can you find in your comments?
